Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using My FIFO Compass, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of service

My FIFO Compass is a web application designed to help FIFO (fly-in fly-out) workers plan and manage rosters, travel, accommodation, rentals and expenses. The app is currently provided free of charge.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You may not share your account or use another user’s account without permission.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the app’s servers or networks.
• Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code.
• Scrape, copy or redistribute content or data from the app without permission.
• Harass, abuse or harm other users.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the app. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that data solely for the purpose of operating the app. We will not sell or commercially exploit your personal data.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep the app available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates or unforeseen issues may cause temporary downtime. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that roster calculations, flight suggestions, or other automated features are error-free. You are responsible for verifying critical travel and work information independently.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including missed flights, roster errors or financial losses.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
